This introductory Mini Resin Geode 6"x6"class is a 2-part, fully immersive learning & creating experience for art students wanting to learn all about how to make a resin geode.
The Mini Resin Geode Class is great for companies looking to treat their employees with something fun to do over a happy-hour in the office. We come to your site and set-up the class in a designated area, and, then the fun begins.
1st Class: Students will receive a basic overview of how resin works, along with a tutorial about all the other materials we will explore and use during class, such as: crystals, stones, crushed glass, glue guns, pigments, alcohol inks, acrylic paints, acrylic pens, glitters, and more.
During this class, we will outline our designs and then affix our crystals and stones to our wood panel. Next, we will select our color & glitter palate before mixing our resin together with our materials. We'll pour our designs and work with the variety of materials, such as alcohol inks, to add touches until each student is ready to let their resin dry overnight.
2nd Class: During the second class, students will add the gorgeous geode lines with acrylic pens on-top of their cured resin. If additional crystals or stones need to be added, each student is able to do so at this time. And, if students would like to add any additional colors or design elements to their mini-geode, they can do so in mixing the pigments, colors and glitters into their final resin pour. If the student is happy with their current design, they will simply pour a clear final layer.
NOTE: After pouring resin, please allow a minimum of 24 hours before touching (gently) your work piece. It is recommended to allow 24 hours minimum before taking your artwork home, to ensure the resin has cured and is safe to handle.
